This Friday, November 4, our speaker will be Curtis A. Moore. (He chose our City to retire to 4 years ago.)  This is the political season and I think Mr. Moore (recommended by former mayor Ellen Moyer) will fit the bill for an interesting discussion.  Curtis Moore was once Republican counsel to a U.S. Senate Committee and on the payroll of the Republican National Committee.  According to his biography, “he has nothing in common with today’s Republicans. “  Like former Senator William Roth of Delaware, whose campaign Moore co-managed, he was in the party’s liberal to moderate wing.  Example, Moore has devoted a professional lifetime toward the preservation of safe air, water and soil for Americans.   He writes about this stuff and is author of “Crazy Right Wing Republicans and How They Got That Way” and several other books.
